Quick answers
The questions every grower asks.
We read the forums, the threads and our own inbox. These come up again and again. Short answer first, deeper guide if you want it.

Do I need to pH with organic nutrients?
Measure, always. In a well-made organic soil you may not need to adjust every watering, because the soil buffers. But you only know that if you measure your water, your finished mix and your runoff now and then.
A bottle says it brings my feed to pH 6.2. True?
Only for one water at one dose. Our ÉLAN at 1 ml/L reads 6.1 in purified water and 7.6 in tap water. Same bottle, same dose, a 1.5 gap. A pH promise without the starting water and the dose means nothing.
Should I flush before harvest?
With organics, skip the hard flush. Taper over the last two weeks the way the chart does and finish with ÉLAN alone. Taste is made by balance, harvest timing, drying and the cure, not by drowning the pot.
Do I need CalMag?
Check your water, medium and complete feed first. SPARK combines seaweed with calcium, magnesium and potassium; whether it fits your routine depends on what is already supplied.
What’s wrong with my plant?
Before you blame the feed, check watering, roots and pH. Most “deficiencies” start there. The plant doctor walks you through it in a minute.
Can I use Crazy Hills with my mineral nutrients?
Keep your base nutrition. ÉLAN adds complementary bio-inputs; KICKOFF introduces root-zone organisms. Check the current instructions and compatibility of the products you actually use.
Do salt nutrients kill beneficial microbes?
Very strong salt solutions stress them. A normal feed is nowhere near a preservative. Keep your EC sensible, keep disinfectants away from the root zone, and put biology back in every week.
Can I mix organic and mineral feeding?
Yes, plenty of growers do. Keep one base program, add each product to the water separately, and watch the total EC so the plant isn’t getting two full feeds.
Does organic really taste better?
We believe so, and so do our growers. But no bottle owns your taste. Genetics, environment, balanced feeding, harvest timing, drying and the cure decide it. Overfeeding at the end ruins it in any program.
Does living soil need feeding?
Amended is the start. Fed is the finish. A container’s charge runs down as the plant grows. Feed it properly at 40 to 60% of the chart and keep the soil life fed.
Molasses: yes or no?
Simple sugars feed microbes fast and briefly. We prefer carbon that lasts: the carbohydrates in ÉLAN and the beet vinasse in UPTHRIVE.
Do organic nutrients work in coco?
Yes, with the right approach: lighter feeds more often, steady calcium and magnesium, weekly biology and clean lines. Tell us your setup and we’ll build the plan.
Full strength or half strength?
Start low. Read your plant. Then climb. Living soil 40 to 60% of the chart, light mix 75 to 100%, coco starts low and builds.
How often should I feed?
Feed when the plant drinks, not by the calendar. In soil, water when the pot feels light and give plain water between feeds when needed. In coco, most irrigations carry feed.
How much will I need for a full grow?
Put your own volumes in the planner. Example: 10 litres twice a week for a 12-week run uses about 570 ml of ÉLAN.
What do I need for my first grow?
A good light mix, the Explorer Pack, a pH pen and a notebook. Follow the chart at 75%, water when the pot is light, and change one thing at a time.
Can I use it on autoflowers?
Yes. Use fewer veg weeks, start at the low end of your strength band, and let the plant tell you when it’s finishing.
Is KICKOFF the same as mycorrhizae?
No. KICKOFF brings Trichoderma, beneficial bacteria and enzymes. Mycorrhizal fungi are different organisms that partner with roots in a different way.
Why is your chart lower than older charts?
Our formulas got more concentrated, so the doses came down. Better value per litre of feed. Use the chart that matches your bottle.
What does “handpicked” actually mean?
We pick every input ourselves, then control how it’s made. Our seaweed is cold-pressed above the Arctic Circle to our own procedure, our aminos come from three GMO-free sources, our humic from German leonardite.
Is Crazy Hills organic?
The range combines different inputs and product roles. Read the declaration and applicable documents for the particular product and market; an ingredient story is not a range-wide certification.
Why one bottle instead of five?
ÉLAN combines several complementary bio-inputs in one all-stage biostimulant. It works alongside base nutrition. Compare your existing supplements before adding overlapping products.
