If you change the feed, the light and the irrigation together, you may get a different result. You will have a harder time knowing why.
Start with one question. Write down what you expect to change and what would count as useful. Keep a comparable group on the existing approach where practical. Record the cultivar, stage, medium, water, feeding and environment, and use the same measurement method for both groups.
Choose the outcome before you see it. Growth, final quality, total cost and time spent mixing are different outcomes. Record disappointing or unchanged results too.
A small grower trial can help you make a local decision. It cannot establish that a product will perform the same way in every grow.
Next step: write one sentence beginning “We are testing whether…” before opening the new bottle.
